Discovery 3 & 4's are getting ever more popular for off-roading, the first modification owners do is fit some more off-road biased tyres and usually a larger size, this is great for traction and looks but not so great when that oversized wheel and tyre will not fit in the standard spare wheel carrier. Another problem is if you were to need the spare wheel when off-roading, it is not very easy to get to, slung under the rear of the vehicle.
Designed to suit both the Discovery 3 & 4 the Terrafirma swing away spare wheel carrier is fabricated from steel and is chassis mounted for maximum strength.
The carrier frame is electrophoretically treated before powder coating for the ultimate corrosion resistance.
The opening is gas strut assisted and locked closed with a sturdy over centre stainless steel latch mechanism.
The wheel mounting bracket is adjustable to suit all popular wheel and tyre options and is supplied with wheel nuts.
